Sedgwick Club UK

The Time Truck was set up by the Sedgwick Club (a student-run society for geologists in Cambridge) in collaboration with the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences in 1998. It is now independent of the Sedgwick Club and involves volunteers from the Cambridge Department of Earth Sciences. The truck tours local Primary Schools in the week before Cambridge Science Festival (in March), taking the hands-on displays and a band of enthusiastic students with it. Members of the public are welcome to come and see what we do at one of our family open days, where all of the Truck's exhibits are on display with the student volunteers on hand to give explanations! Upcoming public open days are in the Department of Earth Sciences, in Cambridge on Saturday 14th March - we hope to see you there.

Our annual report is available for download in pdf format here.

If you would like the Truck to visit your school next year or want more information please contact us.

We are looking for sponsors to help with the costs of running next year's Time Truck, if you are able to donate time, materials or money, please get in touch.

We would like to thank all those volunteers and sponsors who made last year's Time Truck a fantastic success, and we look forward to an even more successful 2009.
